C5/C6 Spinal Cord Injury / Thornton, Colorado
Heather took a liking to horses as a child and began a lifelong love affair with riding. Unfortunately, while riding a horse named Little Bandit in 2003, she dislocated her spine after being tossed from the horse.
Since that time, Heather has taken it upon herself to live as independent a life as possible. Her health is her number one priority, while at the same time working to help others grasp the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Heather’s goal is to build an empire to inspire and educate both the walking and disabled communities on how to regain their health through diet, stress management, and body movement.
Getting Back Up is proud to support Heather with an exercise-based therapy scholarship to SCI Recovery Project in Denver, Colorado.
