T10/T11 Spinal Cord Injury / San Dimas, California
A sledding accident in Big Bear changed Jennifer’s world forever. After falling on her back, she dislocated two of her vertebrae causing her spinal cord to bruise. Doctors told her that she would never walk again. She was 16 years old.
Jennifer has devoted much of her time to exercise-based rehabilitation to regain motor ability. Pushing herself each day has led to her being able to take steps with the assistance of ankle braces and a walker. She is enrolled in the University of Southern California’s Master’s in Applied Psychology Program. Her dream is to become a Human Resource Consultant, specializing in providing equality in the working environment for the disabled.
Getting Back Up is proud to support Jennifer with a scholarship to continue receiving the therapy she needs at Project Walk in Claremont, California.
