C5/C6 Spinal Cord Injury / Elkins, West Virginia
A landscaping supervisor, husband and father of two, Cliff was extremely active in both sports and his community. While on vacation in 2005, low blood sugar contributed to a blackout as Cliff dove into a pool. The dive resulted in a cervical spinal cord injury.
Unfortunately, after his accident, Cliff and his wife divorced and he was forced to move in with his family to avoid life in a nursing home. However, things improved for him in 2012 when he married his personal care nurse, Tiffanie. The two of them now live together in West Virginia and work toward supporting others living with paralysis.
Cliff has worked hard towards recovery, but has been plagued by pressure sores.
Getting Back Up is proud to support Cliff with funding towards the purchase of an Airpulse PK 2 Battery Model seat cushion from Aquila Corporation.
